Dissertation is devoted to the organizational and pedagogical bases of the activity of European Network of Health Promoting Schools in the Eastern European and outlining the possibilities of using progressive European experience in the aspect of the problem in Ukraine. The theoretical bases of the activity of of the activity of European Network of Health Promoting Schools in the Eastern European are analyzed. On the basis of scientific literature and normative documents analysis the actuality of problem and essence of the research subject have been defined. A great number of concepts that comprise content basis of the research, among them: "health promotions", "health promotion activities", "healthy environment", "competence preserving health", "valued attitude to health", "health promoting schools", "European Network of Health Promoting Schools", "Nation Network of Health Promoting Schools", "organizationally-pedagogical principles" are characterized. Analysis of numerous native and foreign scientific works gave the possibility to define the main concept of the research - organizationally-pedagogical principles - as an assumptions, the basic principles governing their activities and development. The author distinguishes three periods of European Network of Health Promoting Schools development: 1) the development and testing of ideas (1974-1991); 2) SHE launch, implementation ideas and stabilization (1992-2006); 3) network expansion and evolution of ideas of school health promotion (2007-2013). The normative, organizational contents and methodical bases of the European Network of Health Promoting Schools activity are characterized in Eastern Europe. It was found differences in the activities of the European Network of Health Promoting Schools in Eastern Europe and the National Network of Health Promoting Schools in Ukraine. The structural model of creation environment preserving health in schools promoting health Ukraine and method for determining the stage of development of educational institutions as the School of Health, substantiates the algorithm of its functioning in secondary schools. The proposals based on the positive conceptual ideas of the Eastern Europe of Health Promoting Schools for the Ukrainian Nation Network of Health Promoting Schools on the national, regional and school level are given.
