Paraskevova C. Emotional intelligence as a factor in the regulation of emotional-motivational sphere of personality

The object of the research – the regulation of emotional-motivational sphere of personality. The dissertation purpose: develop a program of training of emotional intelligence, based on the deepening of theoretical ideas about its role in the regulation of emotional-motivational sphere of personality. The methods: theoretical (analysis of literature), psychodiagnostic and mathematical-statistical (the methods of comparison of independent and dependent selections, methods of multivariate statistics). Scientific novelty: the work is dedicated to a study of the role of emotional intelligence in emotional-motivational sphere of person with prosocial behavior; it was proved that emotional intelligence is a factor of prosocial motives, focus on matter, responsible position, positive self-esteem, empathy, emotional sensitivity, spontaneity and lability, control of anxiety and aggression; types of emotional-motivational regulation structures of person were identified: «concerted», «heterodirected», «autodirected» and «infantile»; it was shown that emotionally challenging conditions lead to a decline of emotional-intellectual abilities. Practical value of research: the training program of emotional intelligence was developed and proven to be effective. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions, psychological services.
