Object - the process of professional training of future teachers of Music at higher pedagogical institutions; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical technology of forming intellectual and creative skills in future teachers of Music on the efficiency of their professional training ; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the personality-oriented pedagogical technology presupposing complex diagnostic tests of students' level of intellectual and creative skills formation; future teachers' realization of the importance of intellectual and creative skills for effective professional activity; stimulation of professional-creative motivation; active involvement of future teachers in performing creativity-oriented learning tasks in all types of professional training; the notion "intellectual and creative skills of future teachers of Music " has been specified as realized creative abilities of future professionals that represent the valuable ability of a personality to individually think, transform and use modes of performance, creative-artistic, musical-pedagogical and reflexive-evaluating activity for the creation of professionally valuable educational products as well as types and content of individual creative skills of a future teacher of Music; criteria and indices of the influence of future Music teacher intellectual and creative skills on the efficiency of his/her professional training; forms and methods of forming intellectual and creative skills in future teachers of Music have acquired further study; results - the personality-oriented pedagogical technology of forming intellectual and creative skills in future teachers of Music has been experimentally tested and is recommended for the implementation in the process of professional training of the professionals of the given speciality at higher pedagogical institutions. The scientific and methodological materials accumulated during the research on the issues of forming intellectual and creative skills in future teachers of Music will be helpful to academics for raising the quality of the teaching process at higher education institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation as well as for compiling textbooks and teaching manuals ; field - pedagogy.
