Бикова О. Communicative and genre modification of reporting in modern Ukrainian press (based on publications of 2000-2012 gg.).

This thesis presents a comprehensive genealogical analysis of modifications in the Ukrainian press of modern reportage due to the communicational, genre and functional characteristics. The author itemized the category of genre and genre modification; introduced the term "dominant" as the concept of the main features of the genre; outlined genealogical status of reporting as a genre of social communication and systematized scientific views on the genre nature of press reporting. New manifestations of genre dominants of reporting on the current stage of Ukrainian periodicals are analyzed in his work. The author also characterized different variations of reporting, which constituted an important part of modern genre and style field of practical journalism. These were emerged as a result of constant updating of content, system and structure constants of the story. New genre varieties of reporting were the result of transformational modification, and acquired the nomina of combined (mixed, syncretic genre structure) genres analyzed in this research.
