The dissertation presents the results of the complex study of the process of introduction and approval of the town self-governing in Lutsk. Discovered specialities of magistrate?s functionation, traced the dinamics of obtaining rights and privileges by the town community, provided structure of magistrate, modifications of voitship, jurisdiction and possibilities of town government, clarified influence of magistrate on development of the town economy.
