Gadzevych O. Biological properties of pathogens of streptococcal, enterococcal and staphylococcal diseases in cattle and improvement of specific prevention.

Thesis is devoted to the studying etiological structure, biological properties of streptococcal, enterococcal and staphylococcal diseases of calves and cows in Ukraine, improvement of specific prevention of diseases of coccal etiology. According to the results of individual studies there were obtained strains with high immunogenicity and virulence properties: Enterococcus faecalis № 1, Streptococcus рneumonиae № 2, Streptococcus pyogenes № 3 and Staphylococcus аureus № 44. The strains were first deposited in the National Center of Microorganism Strains of SSCIBSM according to the existing order, and they were proposed as production strains for the production of vaccines. Due to the lack of commercial and Ukrainian immune prophylactic means regarding the etiology of infectious diseases of coccal etiology in Ukraine, there was developed and registered inactivated vaccine for the prevention of streptococcal, staphylococcal and enterococcal infections of animals.
