Thesis deals with the research of the problem of diagnosis of parvovirus infection in dogs, developing of the diagnostic kit for the detection of parvovirus genome of dogs by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and treatment of sick animals. During the research activities the epizootic situation of CPV infection of dogs in Zhytomyr city (Ukraine), pathogenesis and clinical course of the disease in puppies were comprehensively studied, diagnostic test system based on polymerase chain reaction and complex scheme of intensive therapy were developed. Bioinformation analysis of gene sequence glycoprotein of canine parvovirus was performed. Two pairs of primers, which became a basis for the new diagnostic test system for detection of canine parvovirus based on polymerase chain reaction were designed. It has been determined that CPV incidence peak was in April-May months. The most susceptible age group of dogs, were puppies from 2 to 6 months of age. Working breeds of dogs showed the highest susceptibility to CPV infection.
