Essay

The thesis is devoted to complex historical research of Polish pedagogical education in the conditions of indigenization and consolidation of totalitarianism in Right-Bank Ukraine. The historiographical analysis, published material analysis, involved a wide range of archival material, which previously was not used in scientific circulation. In the dissertation research social and political pre-conditions of the pedagogical education development of Polish population are ascertained as well as characteristic of factors of its formation are presented. The process of functioning and destruction of Polish pedagogical education in the Ukrainian SSR is reproduced and thoroughly exposed. From early 1920-s to the first half of 1930-s the central authorities and local Soviet authorities deliberately contributed to satisfaction of cultural and educational needs of the Polish minority in Ukraine. Polish schools, universities, clubs, libraries, theatres were created for this purpose. Polish national councils and districts were also organized. Herewith, bolshevists conducted a purposeful course on "sovietization" of the Polish minority and discreditation of catholic church and Polish national state in its eyes.
