Essay

The thesis deals with the study of peculiarities of macro-, micro- and submicroscopic structure of tendinous cords of the mitral and tricuspid valves of fetuses, neonates and infants within the norm. By means of a complex of morphological have been detected that the correlation of the number of tendinous cords of neonates and infants emerging from the apices of the papillary muscles and fixed to the cusps of the mitral and tricuspid heart valves – 1,5:1. The number of tendinous cords in neonates is 2,5 times higher than those of the fetuses, and their number in infants is 1,07 times higher than the number of tendinous cords of the atrioventricular valves in neonates. By their histologic structure tendinous cords of fetuses are found to belong to a fibrous-muscular type, of neonates – to fibrous-muscular and fibrous types, and in infants – to a fibrous type. Three-dimensional models of tendinous cords of the mitral and tricuspid heart valves in neonates indicates that base of tendinous cord is formed by the central collagen stem, and their base – by the loose connective tissue where blood vessels are passing.
