Essay

The object of study: metapneumoviral infection of poultry. Subject of research: epizootic situation on metapneumoviral infection of poultry, methods of metapneumovirus infection diagnostics, diffuse precipitation test, immunocorrecting and antiviral activity of 1,2,4 triazole. The results of serological monitoring, which carried out in 2008-2013, point out the spread avian metapneumovirus in poultry farms. Three AMPV field isolates have been isolated from the pathological material taken from turkeys and ornamental birds. These field isolates assigned to virulent by pathogenicity for chicken and quail embryos and for cell culture of quail embryo fibroblasts. Infectious activity of these isolates is 4.92 EID50/cm3 by replicating in chicken embryos and 5.23 EID50/cm3 by cultivating in quail embryos, which allows their using for indication and growth the virus in the laboratory. Quail embryo fibroblasts are proposed as sensitive biosystem in which AMPV replicated with a pronounced cytolytic type of cytopathic effect with formation of syncytia and caused destruction and cell death.
