Ostrovskyi V. Social and political activity of Zinovii Krasivskyi (1929-1991).

In this thesis the social and political activity of the famous representative of the Ukrainian national liberation movement Zinovii Krasivskyi is studied and described. The paper is based on the diverse, pioneer in use, historical sources, hold in the archives of the State Security Service of Ukraine, national regional and private archives, museum funds. Moreover, theoretical works of foreign and Ukrainian historians, modern methodological paradigms, principles and methods were used, having given an opportunity to achieve a comprehensive and objective address of the goals and tasks stated.The author found and analyzed factors that influenced the formation and evolution of Z. Krasivskyi's views. The main - historical (patriotic family origin, growing up in the national conscious rural environment, the mid-twentieth century events that unfolded in Galicia) and ideological (opposing doctrines of modern times - communism and nationalism) - factors we determined. His activity in 1944-1962 was also analyzed, concentrating on his joining the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (Banderites) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, being kept in the labour camp, restoring the cultural and spiritual life of the Ukrainians in Karaganda of the Kazakh SSR, being engaged in patriotic propaganda when studying at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
