RUDNYeVA I. The problem of students' independent work organization in the humanities at the universities in France (the second half of the XXth century

The thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of the organization of students' independent work in the humanitarian universities in France. The substantiated stages and major trends of formation and further development of independent work organization of the humanists in French universities in the certain chronological limits are as follows: I stage is rethink of the approaches to the organization of independent work of the students studying the humanities in France (1946 - 1969), II stage is professionalization of the students' independent work in the humanities at the humanitarian universities (1970 - 1987), III stage is strengthening of the research orientation of students' independent work in the humanities (1988 - 1999); French scientists views on various aspects of the organization of the students' independent work at the humanitarian universities have been systematized; the experience of the French humanitarian organization of the university students' independent work in the studied period has been generalized; French scientists' views on the nature of students' independent work, its functions, methods of organization, and conditions of its effective implementation have been studied in the thesis. The trends of the creative use of the French experience in organization of the students' independent work in the domestic universities have been detected.
