Object - the process of professional training of future teachers of Humanities; aim - to find out the influence of implementing theoretically substantiated pedagogical conditions of self-development of future teachers of Humanities in the process of professional training on their positive "selfchanges"; methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the dissertation is the first to scientifically substantiate and experimentally prove the pedagogical conditions of self-development of future teachers of Humanities; the definition of the notion "self-development of future teachers of Humanities" is offered, it is understood as a gradual goal-oriented and motivation-governed process of personality's formation and transformation of his physical and moral inner forces, qualities, aptitudes on the basis of interaction of inner valuable and coming from outside factors oriented at the removal of obstacles to selfchanging, self-development and realization of one's potential in his/her own life and professional pedagogical activity; the structure of the process of self-development, the criteria and indices of successful self-development of students are specified ; results - the pedagogical conditions of self-development of future teachers of Humanities in the process of professional training have been experimentally tested, their efficiency has been proved, they are recommended for the implementation in the teaching process at higher pedagogical institutions. The theoretical ideas and practical results of the research make the basis of the course "Teacher's Self-Development: Theory and Practice", that was worked out by the author. The materials of the research will be helpful to those working and studying at pedagogical colleges, institutes, universities, post-diploma and professional development courses as well as for working out the courses on "Mastery of Teaching", "Pedagogy", special courses and seminars for higher pedagogical educational establishments of III-IV levels of accreditation; field - pedagogy.
