Gordiychuk S. Political repressions in Transcarpathia (1944-1991).

Present Thesis is dedicated to the complex analysis of the political repressions in the Soviet Transcarpathia in 1944-1980. The analysis is given concerning the specific features of the repressive policy of the power against the various categories of population, namely: youth, workers, peasants, national minorities, military personnel, members of the national liberation movement, intellectuals, priesthood. The historical background, forms, methods, causes and consequences of the totalitarian repression of the soviet power have been analyzed within the chronological limits of the present research. This scientific survey is based on the materials taken from the archive of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region and the State Archive of the Transcarpathian region. The present thesis clari-fies the illegal actions of the investigative bodies, i.e. provocations, falsifications, extermination of apprehend people etc.
