3. In the thesis describes the distribution of ulcerative glossitis of cattle in Poltava region. Describes results of complex clinical and laboratory studies that characterize the state of the digestive system of calves and cows for this pathology. Morphologically identified structural changes in the liver and in the tongue of sick animals. It was found the main pathogenesis of ulcerative glossitis of cattle. Established that as a result of the etiological factor there are changes of rumen contents (the ratio of short-chain fatty acids, reducing the number of ciliates and their activity), violation of digestion processes (hyporexia and hypotonia of proventriculus), developing of functional insufficiency of the liver (hepatomegaly and hyperbilirubinemia), accompanied by morphological changes (fatty degeneration of hepatocytes and paranecrosis), violation of mouth homeostasis, changing the composition of saliva, blood supply and tongue ulcer is formed. According to the results of clinically, theoretically and experimentally developed comprehensive scheme for the treatment of calves with indicated pathology. Established the efficacy of pathogenic (Hepaveks 200) and symptomatic (20 % solution of sodium tetraborate on glycerol) therapy by the ulcerative glossitis in calves.
