Essay

Target of research – biotic-abiotic factors of seed germination of corn hybrids and methods of its determination based on modified cold germination. Goal of research – to identify patterns to determine the factors of formation and to develop methods for determining the seed germination of corn hybrids in the process of ripening, harvesting and drying. Methods - laboratory, field; mathematical-statistical, production. Results: determined the pace and level of water yielding harvest moisture, which corresponds to the level of conditioned seed germination of corn hybrids of different maturity groups; set their thermal stability in the temperature range 30-50 ?C. For the first time theoretically justified method of direct energy saving drying, which guarantees a high germination and the power growth of seeds. The effect of freezing factors (low temperature exposure, humidity) on the germination, growth and yield the power of corn hybrids. The regularities of the connection between the cold germination capacity, field and seed yield of corn hybrids. Novelty – the first time have revealed regularities of formation of seed germination of corn hybrids in the process of maturation in the conditions of northern Steppe and the factors influencing it in the process of harvesting and postharvest processing. New methods of determining germination based on its germination at varying temperatures and conditions in the simulation period of crop - seedlings. Sector – agriculture.
