Sarancha V. Poltava province in World War I (July 1914 - February 1917)

The object of research: Poltava province, as part of a special provincial socio-cultural environment. The aim of research: highlighting various aspects of life Poltava province during the time of the First World War, the definition of contribution of the people of Poltava in providing front with human and material resources. The subject of research: demographic, socio-economic and socio-cultural aspects of development of Poltava province. The methods of research: analyze, synthesis, logical, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-typological. The results of research and novelty: for the first time it has been described the demographic processes and social structure of the population in the region during World War I. The mechanism of realization of mobilization activities in 1914-1917 in Poltava region has been revealed; participation in local communities in the activities has been analyzed. The regional economy has been characterized; the peculiarities of local government have been outlined. It has been found the main activities of political parties and public organizations in the province during World War I. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
