The thesis is based on a wide range of published sources and archival material and presents the comprehensive study of the process of creation and functioning of Ukrainian Red Cross Society in the 20-30s of the twentieth century. Based on the conceptual achievements of modern historiography and using a wide range of diverse sources, the author has analyzed historical background of the Ukrainian Red Cross movement, its ideological principles of operation and main directions of development.
