The object is the environmental consumption culture in the philosophical and educational dimension; the goal is the philosophical conceptualization of cognitive-behavioral principles of environmental consumption culture of personality and disclosing the role of schooling in the process of formation; the methods are dialectical, historical-genetic, phenomenological, hermeneutic, comparative, structural and functional methodology and system-theoretical analysis; the novelty is the provision of a rationale for the research and the development of complex concepts of environmental consumption culture of a personality in the continuum of school education, the creation of author model of the environmental consumption culture of a personality in school education based on methodological principles of education for sustainable development; the results allow to use the main strategies of the thesis as the basis for developing courses of environmental ethics and environmental axiology, environmental law, environmental journalism, basics of environmental consumption knowledge, education for sustainable development in school education, and can also be used in sections of courses of ethics, culture, philosophy of education, and social philosophy; the specialization is the philosophy of education.
