Object - the process of professional training of future teachers of Philological specialties in higher educational establishments ; aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested technology on forming of intellectual initiative of future teachers of Philological specialties during the process of their professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to substantiate and experimentally test the stage-based technology of forming of intellectual initiative of future teachers of Philological specialties; the content of intellectual initiative of future teachers of Philological specialties, its structure, criteria and levels are specified; the ideas concerning organization of learning and research activities of future teachers of Philological specialties have been further investigated; results - the technology of forming of intellectual initiative of future teachers of Philological specialties has been experimentally tested and is recommended for the implementation in the process of professional training of students. The methodological and teaching materials worked out on the basis of the research may be used as a valuable source for compiling teaching manuals and teaching notes on "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to Literary Studies", "History of Ukrainian Literature", "History of Foreign Literature", "Lexicology", "Stylistics", "Pedagogy", "Psychology", "Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages in Secondary School", "Foundations of Pedagogical Mastery" as well as for training students in writing course, diploma and Master degree papers, ; field - pedagogy.
