The thesis is devoted to disclosure of general principles of organization and functioning of the judicial power in Ukraine, in particular there are highlighted the concept of the judicial power, its place and role in the system of separation of state power and in the mechanism of checks and balances. The paper describes theoretical and legal aspects of understanding the limits of judicial power. There are revealed the essence and the concept of the limits of judicial power, their classification and highlighted the nature and characteristics of competence and organizational limits of the judicial power.
