Romanyuk M. OUN Zolochiv county in the national liberation movement in 1937–1953

Object: Ukrainian liberation movement of 1940-1950s. Objective: to analyze the process of formation and functioning of the Zolochiv county of OUN in 1937-1953. Methods: historical-comparative, analytical, descriptive and structural-systematic, statistical and comparative. Results: for the first time in the national historiography the key structural unit of the Ukrainian liberation movement of the mid-twentieth century, from its creation in 1937 and to the elimination in 1953 is analyzed, detailed administrative-territorial and organizational structure of Zolochiv county of OUN, the process of its formation and reorganization are played, in a scientific circulation introduced archival materials that have not been the subject of scientific analysis, among them – the author records of the memories of participants and witnesses of these events, hundreds of nicknames of the national liberation struggle members and cryptonyms of organizational units of underground are solved, governing team of county and subordinate for it counties of OUN, principles of their formation are established, size and losses of armed underground of Zolochiv county of OUN in the 1946-1953 are estimated. Scope: for writing generalizing works on the modern history of Ukraine, the Ukrainian armed forces 1940-1950s, some localities of Galicia and papers of regional character, at the conclusion of encyclopedic and reference publications, creation of museum displays and thematic exhibitions, establishing of monuments and memorials.
