The theoretical and practical problems of the independence of the judicial authority are considered in the thesis, prerequisites of formation independence of the judicial authority are analyzed. The questions of correlation of the principle of the independence of the judicial authority with the other principles of the judiciary are considered. The overall performance of guarantees of judicial authority is given. The questions of adequate resources and personnel maintenance of the judiciary as a guarantee of its independence are examined. The problems of security of judges are analyzed. The question of independence of the judiciary by the interpretation of the law and doctrinal legal sources at the national and international levels are examined. Legislative omissions at securing guarantees the sovereignty and independence of the judiciary are detected. On the basis of scientific research proposals to improve the legislation that regulates the sovereignty and independence of the judiciary in Ukraine are formulated.
