The main topic of the thesis is the investigation of the influence of the type of automatic regulation system of a diesel in the process of operation under unstable modes on damping energy losses, increase in fuel consumption and emission of harmful substances with exhaust gases. The thesis specifies a mathematical model of a system of automatic regulation of a diesel allowing to investigate the influence of unstable modes of operation on losses of a part of engine energy. A possibility is provided to influence on fuel efficiency and emission of harmful substances with exhaust gases by means of applying a universal governor of a camshaft rotation frequency of a diesel.
