Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of socialization influence of the family on the childs' formation in a sociocultural dimension of the second half of the 20th century. Based on the analysis of psychological, pedagogical, sociological literature it was found that scientific sources highlighted the issues associated with determining the nature of the family, its functions - activities directions that determine the social status and social role of the family (reproductive, economic, financial, recreational / spiritual communication, educational, socialization, primary social control), types of family of its socialization capacity, allocation and characteristic of family socialization agents (parents, siblings, relatives). It was revealed that a significant amount of research were devoted to studying of the educational potential of the family, determination of its capabilities, the conditions of family educational function implementation, the nature of the system of interpersonal relations. Theoretical grounding of components of families' educational potential has been made. The factors that influence components improvement and rising the efficient implementation have been analyzed. The ways of providing families with social and educational support have been defined. The fact of improvement of parents' pedagogical culture as an important factor in enhancing the efficiency of socialization influence on the child's formation in the second half of the 20th century has been revealed. Attraction of parents to cooperate with the school, creation of university of pedagogical knowledge for parents, councils of assistance families and schools in children's education, public councils at enterprises, institutions and organizations have been studied. It was specifies such concepts of the study as: "socialization" (the process of individual's realizing himself as a part of society through active mastering of its social norms, values, roles), "family education" (the process of interaction between adults and children, child's involvement into different systems of interpersonal relations and activities to form certain qualities and skills), "family socialization" (transfer to the younger generation the experience of family life, the mastering of family roles, skills of interaction with others to ensure effective adaptation to the life experience of different groups and communities, through interiorization of recognized sociocultural norms and values), "family socialization influence on the child's formation" (the relationship of parents or other family members and the child, which aimed to transfer and mastery of the family values, norms of behavior accepted in society, enriching life experience, and are based on communication, parental love, respect for elders), "sociocultural dimension" (a set of conditions of a given society that deliberately influence the minds and behavior of individuals to form their respective qualities, beliefs, values). Trends of the family socialization influence on the child's formation in the sociocultural dimension of the second half of the 20th century have been grounded. Restrictions of family socialization influence on the child's formation (1950-1966): changes in social and political life; favoring the reproductive function of the family (dominance of the family consideration as the basic institution of public reproduction, improvement of demographic situation in the country), while weakening other functions; broad involvement of women in social production through the introduction of the system of aid and certain benefits, creation of a broad network of public education; school is first in the socialization of children, which operates on the basis of authoritarian and centralized management, strict compliance with regulatory guidelines, a family plays a secondary role, and social environment of the child is generally ignored. Regulation of family's socialization influence (1967-1983): family begins to be seen as the environment of primary socialization of the child, whose activity is monitored, adjusted and directed in the right direction by the state; continuing the transmission of socialization function of the family to other social institutions. Gradual strengthening of family's socialization influence on the formation of the child (1984-1999): increasing the role and responsibility of parents for the children's upbringing; predominance of simple family, increasing the number of single-parent families, strengthening the role of women as agents of family socialization, increasing of adverse social and cultural conditions of families, the formation of a noticeable layer of "asocial family"; strengthening of social state patronage over the maintenance and education of orphans and children deprived of parental care, normal family ignoring. The content (creating of favorable conditions to master and active reproduction of social experience for successful adaptation and life activity in society) and means of social and educational support of family socialization influence on the child's formation in the declared period have been analyzed.
