Object - the process of vocational-technical schools students' professional training; the aim - to determine the effect of the theoretically grounded and experimentally tested technology on the development of vocational-technical schools students' vital competence in the process of professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - for the first time the technology of the formation of vocational-technical schools students' vital competence in the process of professional training is grounded, developed and experimentally tested; it is based on the system, personal-activity and axiological approaches, and provides the phased formation of vital motivation, knowledge, skills, emotional-value behavioral standards, oriented on the individual needs' satisfaction of the self-realization in all life spheres on the analytical and incentive, meaningful and activity, reflective and corrective stages; the essence of vocational-technical schools students' vital competence is refined; the components of the studied category are determined; the organizational and methodological support of professional training and the evaluation system of levels of the development of the components of students' vital competence are improved; the theses of the competence approach to professional education, in particular the formation of students' vital competence in the system of vocational-technical education in Ukraine got the further development; Results - the identification of the vital-creative potential of professional training in educational institutions of the system of vocational-technical education; the creation and the experimental verification of the author's course "The Technology of Vital Self-Realization" for vocational-technical schools students. The study's theoretical theses and experimental findings can be used during the development of educational and methodological manuals on the organization of vocational-technical schools students' professional training of all disciplines; the technology of the formation of students' vital competence can be used to modernize and to extend the content of the courses of specialized disciplines, industrial training in vocational-technical schools; field - pedagogy.
