Object - the process of adjustment of pedagogical college students to professional activity; aim - to find out the influence of pedagogical conditions allowing for the adjustment of pedagogical college students to professional activity during their teaching practice on the level of professional adaptation of future teachers; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to investigate and substantiate the pedagogical conditions providing for raising the quality of the process of adjustment of pedagogical college students to professional activity during their teaching practice and experimentally test their influence on the level of professional adaptation of future teachers; the term "adaptation of future teachers to professional activity" has been specified as a process allowing for the implementation of acquired knowledge, qualities and aptitudes in different aspects of professional-pedagogical activity ensuring the professional development of a student, his/her efficient interaction with the subjects of the teaching process and educational environment; the structural components of students' adaptation during their teaching practice have been analysed; the indices of pedagogical college students' adaptation to professional activity have been researched, forms and methods of pedagogical college students' adaptation to professional activity during different types of teaching practice have been investigated; results - the pedagogical conditions of pedagogical college students' adaptation to professional activity during their teaching practice have been experimentally tested and implemented in the teaching process of educational establishments of I-III levels of accreditation. The theoretical ideas and practical data of the research will be helpful to teachers during their class and out of class educational activity with future teachers, they may be considered while working out teaching programmes and teaching manuals; they are recommended for students working at course, diploma and Master degree papers. The materials of the research may be helpful to those engaged in professional development programmes. The experimentally tested methodological support materials worked out during the research and providing for the implementation of the researched pedagogical conditions may be adapted for the teaching process at pedagogical universities; field - pedagogy.
