Subject of research: community acquired pneumonia of viral and bacterial etiology of clinical group III among the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; the aim of the research is to optimize the etiological diagnosis of viral and bacterial CAP of clinical group III among the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to improve the treatment efficiency of these patients by using of anti-viral medication; research methods: clinical, roentgenologic, bacteriologic, virological, pharmacoeconomic and statistical; novelty: verified scientific data as for frequency and spectrum of agents during viral and bacterial CAP of clinical group III among the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, improved the algorithm of etiological diagnostic of disease. Clinical features of defined patients' disease state of were determined. It was optimized the scheme of the treatment of the patients, which includes antibacterial agents in combination with the antiviral drug and immunomodulatory tilorone that reliably improves the results of treatment. It is proved advisability of prescription to the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are ill with viral and bacterial CAP of clinical group III of sequential therapy of levofloxacin in combination with tilorone, that significantly reduces the cost of treatment.
