Zhuravel I. Effectiveness increase of freight stations processing by their track construction improvement

The thesis is devoted to increase the efficiency of freight stations processing of main and industrial rail transport by improving the design and number of the tracks. The research object is the process of functioning of the main freight stations and industrial railway transport. The scientific problem was solved with the correct use of modern mathematics. Scientific novelty is as follows: first presents the comprehensive dependencies of freight station tracks number, length and capacity on the characteristics of car flows, which take into account the rolling stock structure changes; Improved method of conformity assessment gridiron freight stations recyclable traffic volumes through the use of probabilistic methods; Improved method of shunting movements length determining takes into account the speed limits on individual elements of the route structure; improved model of freight stations by formalizing objects together with their behavior that allowing to represent the functioning of the individual objects independently of the other elements of freight stations and createof the library of standard elements of technological processes. The results were used for DNURT scientific research and educational process. The work practical implementation is confirmed by relevant documents listed at the thesis annexes.
