Essay

The object of study: pathogenic strain of Mycobacterium bovis and its dissociative L-shaped forms. Subject of study: Biological properties, phospholipids and immunogenic activity of the dissociative L-shaped forms of M. bovis. It was established that on dense nutrient medium selective strain of dissociative L- and other forms of M. bovis during the passages at different temperatures of cultivation morphologically changes. At 3 °С it transforms into non-acidproof rod-shaped, coccus forms, at 37 °С - into the non-acidproof (sometimes acidproof) elementary bodies (granules). But after 20 passages occurs the weak growth of culture, which later disappears. On the both meat infusion agar and meat infusion broth cultures grow on the 1st-2nd day of cultivation (3 and 37 °С, latter subcultures of 26th generation only at 3 °C); on the medium with the sodium salycylate at low above zero temperature cultures grow on the 6th day, at the 37 °C - on the 15th day, having significant dehydrogenase, peroxidase, catalase activities and are avirulent - during nine months partially transform into the acidproof morphologic forms without tuberculosis initiation on Guinea pigs, have low sensibilizing ability.
