Matter: a process of training future engineers in higher education; Aim:: based Pedagogical conditions justify theoretically and experimentally test technology of mathematical competence of future engineers in the process of professional training; Methods: The study and analysis of psychological and educational literature; synthesis, comparison, generalization and systematization of teaching experience; synthesis and analysis of educational and regulatory documents, observations, questionnaires, interviews, tests, surveys; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics; Novelty: definitions of "mathematical competence of future engineer" as an integrative property of the individual, acquired as a result of mastering quality mathematical knowledge, skills, methods and techniques of mathematical modeling and manifested in professional activity through willingness and ability to use mathematical tools for solving the solving and translation into mathematical language engineering problems facing modern civil engineer; pedagogical conditions of formation of mathematical competence of future engineers (the optimal balance between applied and fundamental component of mathematics education, information and methodological support formation of positive motivation, teaching the use of monitoring and quality control of educational assimilation of mathematical knowledge); developed, theoretically proved and tested technology of mathematical competence of future engineers; further development of the acquired content and form of the teaching of mathematics, methods of control, monitoring and evaluation of a mathematical training of future engineers; results of the study can be used by teachers of technical education in the professional training of specialists in the field of knowledge 19 "Architecture and Construction" as well as in the development of educational and thematic plans, work programs, textbooks and educational publications; field: theory and methodology of professional education
