The thesis is devoted to social and methodological analysis of the concept of "nature" and its manifestations in the civilization process and use in education. Carried out an in-depth historical and philosophical analysis of the concept. It includes three components: the recess in the philosophical understanding of the concept of nature, civilization and social characteristics of the current situation of human attitude to nature and how to use methodological potential of the concept of nature, given its contemporary manifestations in the organization of educational work.
