Essay

The dissertation is devoted to social and philosophical analyzes of competitive ability and competitiveness formation of the individual in a mass society. The study has shown that modern civilization processes have significant qualitative differences rather than the previous historical stages of human development. They are characterized by global transformations in all spheres of society. The features of modern human development stage are the deployment of massovization, technologization and informatization processes that both have constructive and destructive influence on personality formation. They, on the one hand, unify processes of socialization of the individual in modern society, and on the other hand, identify it. The main features of the new type of personality are competitive ability and competitiveness. These characteristics allow the individual to act unconventional, creative and original. Competitive person appears as socially responsible who flexibly react on dynamic changes in the social environment and is ready for constructive dialogue on the basis of competition.
