Dissertation is devoted to the complex studying of morphofunctional changes of young, mature and senium rats myocardium under mild, moderate and severe forms of hypoosmolar overhydration and correction of detected changes by meldonium. In this thesis it was proved the negative influence of overhydratation on all examined parameters, which manifests itself through the violations of the weight and planimetric indexes of heart ventricles, alteration of myocardium histoarchitectonics and chemical elements imbalance. Corrector application on overhydration background leads to slowing dilatation of the right ventricle and its hydration reduction, myocardium vascularity improvement, vessel wall permeability reduction in young and mature rats and less in senium rats.
