Grounded on the theoretical analysis and generalization problems of the issue of determining psychological characteristics of criminal proceedings on the basis of agreements there was outlined the theoretical and methodological foundations of an agreement research as a means of resolving criminal-legal conflict in criminal proceedings, the international experience of making agreements in criminal proceedings is characterized, the process of formation and development of the institute of "agreements in criminal proceedings" in Ukraine is highlighted.
