The thesis gives the analysis of the main tendencies, phenomena and peculiarities of the development of artistic woodworking of Kosiv region of the second half of the ХХth century. On the basis of the museum, archival, field materials the role of regional and local ethnocultural traditions, local carving cells, schools and dynasties has been revealed as well as the peculiarities of forming the artistic and style innovations in the creative work of Kosiv masters of artistic woodworking.
