The thesis suggests complex research of the ethnoregional specificity of folk embroidery of Ternopilshchyna of the XX century as the original phenomenon of national culture, introduces the basic stages of its development, reveals typology of the embroidery with the functional purpose, analyzes the artistic and stylistic features of folk embroidery of the XX century, identifies expressive possibilities of the techniques, classifies ornamental motives on fabrics of clothes and interior purposes.
