Essay

The dissertation presents the theoretical generalization and new resolve of essential problem - of forecasting and prevention of development of the alcohol withdrawal syndrome with first episode of delirium on the basis of studying of biological, psychological and social predictors, and also on the basis of predictors of the combined origin. The comparative research of 120 in-patients (males in age of 20-60 years) including: 60 persons with alcohol withdrawal syndrome with first episode of delirium and 60 persons - with not complicated alcohol withdrawal syndrome was carried out. It was established the biological (the hereditary load, the hepatitis transferred earlier), combined (rather higher monthly tolerance to alcohol, and also duration of a sleeplessness and abstention from alcohol intake before hospitalization, smaller quantity previous hospitalization, the prevailing use of the home-distilled vodka, the raised contents of liver's transaminases and expressiveness of alcohol withdrawal syndrome), psychological (falsity, indicators of extraversion and neurotisme), and also socially-demographic (the birth season, level of incomes, marital status and relations in the family) factors as a predictors of developments of the first episode of alcohol withdrawal syndrome with delirium. The complex mathematical model for prediction of the first episode of alcohol withdrawal syndrome with delirium was constructed on the basis of these factors. In turn, the therapeutic algorithm for the prevention of alcohol withdrawal syndrome with delirium in the alcohol depended persons is developed on the basis of this model.
