Essay

The integral historically pedagogical analysis of K. D. Ushinskiy's views on the problem of schoolchildren's physical education is carried out in this scientific work. The content of such concepts as "pedagogical inheritance", "pedagogical idea", "physical education" is defined. The psychophysiological bases of physical education of schoolchildren are revealed. The ideas of healthy way of life of personality are analysed in Ushinskiy's pedagogical anthropology. The methodical principles of physical education, given in Ushinskiy's pedagogical inheritance have been further developed.
