Object of research: the processes that occur in the operation of a contact wire of electric transport of the city. The purpose of the study: solving scientific-practical problems of development of resource-saving technologies rational of current collection by a city electric vehicle through the use of steel-aluminum contact wire. Research methods: the method of full factorial experiment; the method of correlation analysis, methods of mathematical physics and mathematical statistics. Measurement of contact wire wear was carried out by the method of artificial bases and weighting method. Theoretical and practical results: developed recommendations for using steel-aluminum contact wire of the contact network of electric transport in Kharkiv in areas with low traffic intensity; developed the device for physical modeling of main parameters of current collection systems of power supply of electric vehicle; developed recommendations regarding the rational selection of elements of chassis parts for city electric transport, which reduces current consumption of the movable unit and premature wear of the contact wire at the point of slipping. Scientific novelty: for the first time experimentally for city electric transport the regularities of wear of the contact wire from the operating conditions and the amount of current vehicle on line and in the depot, it is proved that the intensity of wear, to the greatest extent, depends on the current consumption; improved mathematical model for the dynamics of wear of the contact wire, which takes into account the current load and allows on the basis of the geometric parameters of the sliding contact to predict the amount of wear and determine necessary force, kinematic, dynamic and energy parameters for designing the shape and choice of material of the contact wire; improved method of determining the service life of steel-aluminum contact wire for targeted distribution of rolling stock on routes with different operational conditions that is different into account the current load for more accurate evaluation of the resource; further development of a rational method of selecting items of running gear, which reduces stromsparen movable unit and the intensity of wear of the contact wire, i.e. to reduce the cost of resources in the operation of electric vehicles. Degree of implementation: the results of the thesis are introduced at the municipal enterprises of Kharkiv: energy service "Gorelektrotransa" and Kharkov subway. Application area: the electric vehicle.
