Essay

The dissertation investigation deals with solving of the question of the rise and development of the environmental educationin primary school in The United Kingdom and in universities of Great Britain during the process of the primary school teacher preparing. The problems under discussion are thoroughly analysed in close connection with historical, sociocultural and economic development of the country, philosophical and cultural heritage of the English nation, achievements of natural sciences, the increase of public interest in harmonious development of the human being and nature, the development of personality growth in history of European sociocultural environment development. The emphasis in the research is placed on national peculiarities of the environmental education system of the prosess of the primary school teacher preparing, the structure of the university curriculum, extracurricular and outdoor activities of the students of the pedagogical universities. A complex pedagogical, sociocultural, sociophilosophical research of the problem is made. The role and the place of the environmental education in the development of the society, language, culture and literature are determined as one of the basic determinants in dialectics of transformation of properties of an individual into qualities of the personality. The conclusion reached, being reasonable and realistic, can be the great importance for the further development of the Ukrainian educational system, especially for the process of primary school teaching and the primary school teachers preparing in pedagogical universities, for school authority, psychologists and teachers.
