Essay

Thesis focuses on the research of agronomists' social status and professional activity. Their influence on the Ukrainian SSR cultural and economic life in the 1920s is revealed on the basis of the critical analysis of historical sources, historiography achievements, and modern methodological approaches. The research scrutinizes the system and process of Ukrainian agronomists training, studies characteristic features of agrarian education, and forms and methods used in agrarian educational institutions activity. The author dwells on the issue of agronomical service of the Ukrainian SSR, the condition of agronomical network, its organizational forms and human resources, its quantitative and qualitative staff dynamics. The research highlights evolution of the civil movement of Ukrainian SSR agronomists, and their social and professional consolidation.
