Essay

Target of research - creating highly productive and resistant to lodging initial breeding material of durum spring wheat. Goal - to create high-performance and resistant to lodging source material of durum spring wheat under Forest-steppe of Ukraine. Methods - field, laboratory and statistical. Results: sources of resistance to lodging combining this feature with other breeding-valuable features were identified and included in breeding process for creation of new varieties. Due to the involvement of the best specimens in crossing new hybrid material was developed that is used in breeding programs of Laboratory spring wheat breeding at the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS of Ukraine. New variety of durum spring wheat MIP Raiduzhna characterized by low growth, resistance to lodging and high potential productivity has been created and submitted to the State strain testing. Novelty - For the first time new sources of global collection of various eco-geographical origin for resistance to lodging, combining this feature with other selection-valuable features were investigated and found that were the basis for the establishment of initial breeding material. The nature of inheritance of morphological parameters of lodging resistance and productivity at intraspecific and interspecific hybridization durum spring wheat was found. A new material with a set of features - carrier of resistance stem lodging that in hybrid combinations ensure proper display of these signs, and generates high performance hybrids was created.
