Object - the process of the formation of future language teachers' professional competences in distance learning; the aim - to identify the effect of theoretically grounded and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions on the formation of basic professional competences of a future language teacher in the process of distance learning; methods - theoretical, empirical, mathematical statistics; novelty - firstly the heuristic approach to the organization of future teachers' distance learning is scientifically grounded; the pedagogical conditions of the formation of future language teachers' professional competences through distance learning are theoretically grounded and experimentally tested; the essence of a teacher's professional competence that includes the system of professional knowledge, skills, significant personal qualities and experience that cause the pedagogical activity's effectiveness and provide its organization's high level is clarified; the heuristic forms, methods and means which it is advisable to use in future teachers' distance learning got the further development; results - the pedagogical conditions of the formation of future language teachers' professional competences in distance learning are experimentally tested and implemented in the educational process of higher educational institutions. The study's practical developments and theses can be used by teachers during the preparation of lectures, practical classes; while making educational tutorials; in the process of the organization of pedagogues' postgraduate education; the development of the scientific-methodological maintenance of students' distance learning of different specialties in higher educational institutions.
