Were established features of the genetic structure of six species of sturgeon: russian sturgeon (Acipenser guldenstadti, Brandt), stеrlet (Acipenser ruthenus, Linnaeus), stellate sturgeon (Acipenser stellatus, Pallas), beluga (Huso huso, Linnaeus), ship (Acipenser nudivestris, Lovetsky) and bester (Acipenser nikoljukini). Principle of allogeneic selection of parental pairs was formed in order to increase genetic heterogeneity of the descendants of sturgeon. For use in studies on the induction of meiotic gynogenesis was formed selection group bester and sterlet. Developed individual genetic passport by microsatellite DNA markers.
