Object - the process of professional training future specialists on tourism at universities; the aim - to identify the influence of the theoretically grounded and experimentally tested model of professional training tourism guiding instructors at universities on the level of the readiness of future specialists on tourism to the professional activity; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - firstly, the model of professional training future tourism guiding instructors at universities, that is being implemented on the preparatory-motivational, content-procedural and reflexive-evaluation stages, is developed, scientifically grounded and experimentally tested; the structural components of future tourism guiding instructors' professional readiness to the activity in the scope of active tourism are determined; the essence of the concept "tourism guiding instructors' professional readiness", which is considered as a stable personal attainment that integrates a future specialist's on tourism motives, values, knowledge, skills and personal qualities, that determines the implementation of the qualitative guiding of citizens on the routes of active tourism is clarified; the position on the content of professional training tourism guiding instructors at universities, as well as the selection of the forms and the methods of the organization of educational process of specialists of the stated category got further development; results - the use of the scientifically grounded and experimentally tested model of training future tourism guiding instructors in the practice of Ukrainian higher educational institutions of the III - IV accreditation levels that train specialists on the specialty "Tourism" on the educational degrees "Bachelor" and "Master". The study's materials can be used by students in the process of studying educational disciplines and the practice of the tourism and sports direction, during writing term papers, diploma papers and master papers; field - pedagogy.
