Marchenko N. Teaching and social activities of A. G. Pogribnyi (1960-2007)

A theoretical generalization and new solution of an important and urgent task, which is found in the scientific substantiation and systematization of pedagogical views, principles, trends and patterns of scientific, educational and social activities of A.G. Pogribnyi, describing his psychological and pedagogical portrait and determining the place of professor's heritage in teaching science and practice, is presented. The actualization of ideas and experience of scientific, pedagogical and civic activities of A.G. Pogribnyi in modern terms is characterized: democratization, humanization and humanitarization of education; establishment of polivariativity of its educational and methodical securement; use of person-oriented approach; implementation of a national upbringing throughout the educational vertical; entry of foreign Ukrainian educational institutions into the national education system, the introduction of state support.
