Object of study: training future economists in universities; subject: organizational and pedagogical conditions of research competence of future economists in the course of training in higher educational institutions of economics; мethods: theoretical - analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization - to process scientific sources, determine the nature and characteristics of the research competence of economists; systematization of criteria for levels of research and competence of future economists in the course of training; modeling to build a model of the research competence; empirical - psychological and pedagogical diagnostic methods (surveys, interviews, tests, observations, interviews); method of expert assessments to determine the level of research competence of economists; pedagogical experiment in order to test the effectiveness of defined organizational and pedagogical conditions of formation of research competence of future economists in the course of training; statistics - quantitative and qualitative analysis using mathematical statistics methods (using hypotheses, Student's t test) with subsequent qualitative interpretation and semantic generalization to verify compliance with experimental data and research to ensure authenticity and determine their statistical significance.
