Essay

The theoretical synthesis of music teachers' self-education in the system of post-graduate education problem is presented in thesis. The new approach to the actual scientific problem of music teachers' self-education in the system of post-graduate education solving based on defining of pedagogical conditions is proposed by in the dissertation. The basic concepts of the investigation "self-education" and "music teachers' self-educational activity" were distinguished by the analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical sources, which were firstly introduced into the educational theory and practice. The author distinguished the following components of "music teachers' self-educational activity": (motivational-value, informational-cognitive, organizational and activity). The components are presented by different levels formation of music teachers' self-education, which are as follows: low, medium, high. The efficiency of pedagogical conditions of music teachers' self-education in system of post-graduate education were theoretically substantiated and verified. The analysis of the problem's under research state in the pedagogical theory and practice showed out that there are a lot of studies devoted to teachers' self-education. The analysis allowed the author to distinguish following spheres of teachers' professional self-education: motivational and volitional spheres of self- education activities, self-regulating learning as a condition of professional self-education, development of important professional qualities of teachers in the process of self-education activities, pedagogical conditions of individual and typological approach to the development of self- education culture, young teachers' self-education as a condition for the improvement of their activities, professional competencies development of primary school teachers, informational and communicational technologies as teachers' self-education means. The investigation proved out that there aren't researches which determine pedagogical conditions of teachers of music self-education in the system of postgraduate education. Scientific study allowed to find out that the self-education activities should be considered as the most efficient and effective form of music teachers' professional competencies improvement and the basis which ensures effectiveness of its functioning at different stages of pedagogical activities. The validity of analysis' quality of music teachers' self-education activities in the system of in-service teacher education the author was prove by author's pilot study which included various research methods: the curricula and programs analysis of teachers' post-graduated education establishments; pedagogical observation of teachers' courses trainees, their surveys, questionnaires, interviews; individual and group testing of teachers of music (in writing and oral forms); expert assessment of creative and academic tasks in professional courses; qualitative and quantitative of the experimental data processing. The experiment determination's stage proved the necessity of modern teaching and scientific and methodological recommendations creation of self-education process organization, the necessity of consultative centers on theoretical and practical problems of self-education in post-graduate teacher education establishments. The study proves the partial in the organization of self-education improvement and searching of necessary constructive and productive transformations in the context of professional requirements. The author defines components of teachers' self-education activities in the system of post-graduated education and components' specifying indicators: motivational-value (life being guidance, positive motivation to self-education (curiosity, keenness, a systematic knowledge updating need, desire to overcome professional difficulties), informational-cognitive (intellectual ability: independent thinking, critical thinking, thinking operations, system knowledge: its extent, awareness and professional determination, IT skills); organizational and activity (organizational skills: self-organization, self-discipline, self-regulation, self-control; communicational skills; readiness for the cooperation and interaction: knowledge of rules, regulations and relations of communication). The following pedagogical conditions of teachers' self-education activities in the system of post-graduated education have been proved: providing purposive positive motivation to self-education of music teachers' development by means of organizational forms and active teaching methods combination; scientific and methodological support update of music teachers' self-education in post-graduate education; music teachers' self-education activities practical experience enriching. The study does not cover all aspects of the problem under research, but it determines the direction of further development. The content testing of music teachers' self-education activities in the educational process of in-service teacher training courses, forms identifying, methods and ways of effective self-education in the condition of modernization of postgraduate education require experimental and research study.
