Essay

The complex research of diplomatic and political activity of Ukraine in the Black Sea region in 1917 - 1920, based on analysis of historiography, archival and published documents and materials, memoir literature and press materials, is conducted in the thesis. The process of formation and development of political and diplomatic cooperation, the resolution of territorial disputes, preparation, signing and implementation of bilateral agreements of Ukraine with states and public entities of the region is analyzed. Ukraine's participation in the formation of military-political alliances in the North-Eastern Mediterranean is studied. This work also shows the international political importance of the Black Sea Ukrainian policies of national governments for the establishment of Ukraine as a sovereign state in 1917 - 1920.
